kits designed by me.

OK, not really since putting kits together requires some thought and some purpose. I don't have the patience for that. In honor of Halloween, you can be the lucky recipient of some scrapping supplies stuffed ever so gently into a Priority Box with no rhyme or reason except it fits, like Thanksgiving turkeys. Anyone game? Just post here and I will pick a weiner, er, winner!

happy halloweenie.

Not much of a Halloween fan probably because we are too old to trick-or-treat. I am not too tall though so maybe people will give me candy for doing Dirty Sanchez. Ha! In any case, Jeff and I usually turn off all the lights and hide when the trick-or-treaters ring the door bell. This is simply because we have taken the stash of candy and eaten them all ourselves. This time we profess to share the sweets with the young'uns like good adults do. That is, after we hide a few of the goodies for ourselves.

lucky dog.

Finished this simple one today using Stemma paper. I notice that I do a lot of pages of my dog, Ozzie. It doesn't mean I love him more than Snack. It's only because he actually sits still for photos. Snack is temperamental, camera shy, and needs Xanax.

photo op.

Dirty_sanchez_1My friend, Senani, sent me this photo of the shenanigans from this weekend. My husband thought it would be funny to add corn to the chocolate pudding. Ha ha ha. For some reason, most of the people at the party had no idea what the Dirty Sanchez was. It's sad that WE did. And that we chose to act it out in public (yes, we were fully clothed). Lucky those people don't live around us.

dr. phil's test.

Below is Dr Phil's test. (Dr. Phil scored 55; he did this test on Oprah - she got a 38.) Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out!

Answers are for who you are now...... not who you were in the past. Have pen or pencil and paper ready. This is a real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the major corporations today.
It helps them get better insight concerning their employees and prospective employees. It's only 10 Simple questions, so...grab a pencil and paper, keeping track of your letter answers to each question.

Now add up the total number of points.

: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant.. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like
you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and
adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company
because of the excitement! you r ad iate.

41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone
who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust In your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would! really surprise them if you ever did something
impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with
anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. So me people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

My score is 40!

Sh_2 Note to my 3 year old self: In 4 years, you will no longer live in the Philippines. You will learn how to speak English in 4 months, and you will forget your native tongue. Don't forget your first language. It comes in handy when cursing out those who think you have no idea what they're talking about. Enjoy your childhood, don't grow up too fast, don't be too serious, stop trying to please your parents, love everyone. And most importantly, don't forget to take care of yourself. You will go crazy pleasing everyone and trying to trade yourself to your husband for scrapbooking supplies.

weekend away.

Got back from Arizona last night. Jeff took care of all arrangements- tickets, rental car, etc. I was in charge of one thing- finding our gate for departure. We found the gate, sighed, and waited for the plane arrive, ready for our weekend away. Then someone asked us if we were going to Birmingham. Poor guy, he was seated in the wrong gate. He had no clue. Until the lady next to him said SHE was going to Birmingham, too. Retard! I really do ride the short bus. Sheepishly, I bat my eyes at my husband so he doesn't beat me. 5 minutes before the plane left, we found the right gate and the world was alright again. Until we arrive in AZ and find a long sweaty line for the rental car. We don't care about your special services, we want the car so we can go, ok, lady? Sheesh.

In any case, we had a fun time in Arizona. We had a ball at the Halloween party and made a $537 dent in IKEA. My friends were kind enough to offer to drive up the goods when they came back to visit. Thanks, Sepi and Martin. They lurk here, they're just too embarrassed to admit it. Now I'm calling them out. :) Poor you, you're my friend, and now you can't deny it!

My camera is still in out of order since I have no battery so Jeff was a photographer this weekend. You're all going to have to wait to see Dirty Sanchez in action (yes, that was our "costume") because:

a) We want to perform this live in front of a camera.
b) Jeff and I were abducted by aliens. (Go, Valerie)
c) Vegas has turned into an Amway convention. (Good guess again, Valerie)
d) Jeff has not uploaded the photos yet.

If you were a camera batter charger, where would you be? The last time I saw it was at Memory Trends. And now that the battery is dead, I cannot upload my photos to my computer! Argh!

In the meantime, I finished these cards using the Cricut.

Going to a Halloween party next week in Arizona. So the hubby and I are still undecided as to if we should dress up. What do you think? Keep in mind, we are flying right after I get off work early Saturday morning so I really have no time to prepare.

Here are our choices:

1. Kip & Lafonda (you Napoleon Dynamite fans would know this). I guess I would be Lafonda since I am darker. But if we're going for skin tones, I think I'd do better being Pedro. I have the moustache down.

2. Carrot Top and Margaret Cho. I guess I would have to be the Asian one.

3. Dustin "Dirty Sanchez" Diamond & some chick. If you don't know what this is, you're probably better off not knowing. I had never heard of this act and got the shock of my life when I found out. And now I'm more shocked when I discovered Screech made a video about it! I got the lesson from my sister, of all people, who decided to educate everyone by showing them this video, (warning: not PG rated) Dirty Sanchez. She promptly advised us to go to church. Twice. So now I am educating you. Call it a Public Service Announcement.

Any other fun ideas?
