Had a 50 minute Swedish massage early this morning at the Aquae Sulis Spa. Heaven! Every woman should do this for herself at least once a month or have a husband who will give this to you for a birthday treat. You are pampered from head to toe and the massage was lovely. They massaged the stress out of my neck and shoulders and I almost didn't feel self conscious laying there naked on the massage table. Thank goodness the room was dark. Otherwise the poor masseuse would have turned to stone from the sight of my many belly rolls.
Will be missing in action this weekend. Hubby and I are going to visit a friend in Arizona for a little weekend getaway. I really need this. See you when we get back.
In the meantime, I wanted to share my mess of a scrap area. The tables are in the middle of the room since the shelves are being built around the room and stuff is still in boxes. Jeff is still waiting on some parts so the room won't be done for a while. Can't wait!
I'm so far behind on these dares but I love them! Here's Effer Dare #12!
Had more blood work done yesterday. The phlebotomist missed and fished around my arm in order to get to my vein. Ugh. Hate that. It took everything in me not to rip the needle out of my arm and draw it myself. How does a phlebotomist miss adult veins? They were huge and were winking at her. I don't know. I guess it would be different if getting IVs weren't so much fun for me. Aren't paybacks a bitch? After 2 sticks, at least my hormone levels were ok. Next blood work: to check HCG levels aka pregnancy test. Will keep you posted although right now I feel very PMSy. Hubby gave me a wedgie yesterday and it wasn't because I was an angel. We'll see...
My ovaries and my follicles have been getting a lot of love lately. While this is just fine and dandy, this timed intercourse thing is no fun. It's no longer spontaneous and unplanned. It's coming out so clinical and sterile. The hubby has no problem with this since these times are ultimately guaranteed. How do you make the afterglow of baby-making romantic when it involves hormones and pills and injections?
I'm stuck at home cuz it is thundering and pouring here in usually sunny Las Vegas. If I had an SUV, I'd go to WalMart. But since I don't want my VW Beetle to be found floating down Las Vegas Boulevard, I'll have to stay put for now. People in the desert have no idea how to drive in the rain, so here's to hoping everyone's safe.
